Proactively reshaping our future

My vision focuses on protecting Colorado’s water, promoting clean energy, modernizing infrastructure, responsibly governing emerging technologies, addressing housing affordability, and strengthening climate resiliency. All of these revolve around data-driven solutions, public-private collaboration, and long-term stewardship of our state.

Maintaining our innovation

data-driven governance

Our preparedness and performance for public health, emergency response, or budget efficiency rests on our State modernizing and refining its IT communications and accessibility. In addition, linking government performance to more publicly-available quantitative results will increase the transparency of its success and improve public trust.

ENERGY & INFRASTRUCTURE

Rapidly modernizing all possible clean energy technologies is critical to meeting our zero-carbon goals. I support the use of all recognized clean energy sources––solar, wind, geothermal, and nuclear––and will devise new incentives to implement them as quickly as possible. I also encourage all grid modernization measures to ensure we remain resilient to climate disasters that threaten reliable access to electricity.

regulating the ai landscape

A new “industrial” revolution is upon us with the explosive growth of AI; Colorado must do all it can to ensure we reap the whirlwind of its economic benefits, while ensuring our resources are protected from corporate gluttony. Moreover, a new class of legislators are needed to spearhead stronger regulatory measures on AI use and access. Measures like the AI Act will keep Colorado at the forefront of this effort!

KEEPING COLORADO BEAUTIFUL

strengthening climate resiliency

Overdevelopment has brought serious environmental challenges such as traffic congestion, air & noise pollution, and the systematic destruction of our wildlife; these require large-scale solutions to resolve and demand greater collaboration between public and private entities. I will encourage further incorporation of Biophillic designing, widespread reforestation efforts, and innovative wildfire mitigation methods. Fight desertification!

I will continue to ensure that air quality standards and permitting processes are strictly enforced, with any violations or corruption by polluters to be met with the highest penalties; encouraging the electrification of our commercial fleets will also be prioritized.

With this, we can restore Colorado to the same beauty that has inspired artists like John Denver for generations!

Colorado’s water crisis is the most pressing issue of the future. Negotiations over water use in the Colorado Basin require new leadership to manage supply gaps and maintain state autonomy over our most precious resource. We must also take a more aggressive approach in combating the spread of microplastics contamination, beginning first with monitoring––clear information, clean water!

sAFEGUARDING OUR WATER

“Let both sides seek to invoke the wonders of science, instead of its terrors. Together let us explore the stars, conquer the deserts, eradicate disease, tap the ocean depths, and encourage the arts and commerce.”

restructuring TABOR

Affordability is another keystone issue for our residents; it transcends politics and affects our most important sectors, be it healthcare or education. To implement effective and innovate measures for generating new revenue for our schools and aging infrastructure, we must reform our powers of taxation. I pledge myself an ongoing ally in the effort to amend or lift TABOR restrictions and will aid my fellow legislators in promoting upcoming referendums for this fight.

I will wade into the regulatory swamps to examine how best to facilitate permitting speeds, reform land-use regulations, modify financing, and reimagine construction methods, all of which contribute to the leviathan of housing costs. I will also call for investigations into the ongoing acquisition of housing by institutional firms to determine if state intervention is needed.

re-Engineering housing

wORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

From construction to medicine to energy, we must devise new measures to grow and train our workforces through specialized apprenticeship programs and demand-based vocational pipelines via public-private compacts. I will prioritize addressing Colorado’s critical nursing shortage by negotiating with our universities on how to make the nursing training pipeline more accessible and less financially burdensome for its students.

community matters

Growing Our Base

To further our Party’s commitment to democratization, I will encourage greater outreach to Unaffiliated voters to expand electoral participation. The best remedy to combating low voter turnout is to engage closely with Unaffiliated voters on an issue-by-issue basis. Launching a quarterly or monthly outreach initiative may prove a good step in the right direction and I intend to work with organizations such as Let Colorado Vote on best practices.

To do no harm…

I believe in the efficacy of psychedelic therapy in a controlled, supervised setting and encourage more research by safely increasing accessibility to treatment. I will also support the ongoing attempts to decriminalize sex work by forging a bipartisan approach that addresses potential risks and allows Colorado to reap the benefits from taxation of the industry.
